Collection and Use of Information

The personal information you provide to Bestow Gifts is collected for the purpose of processing your order only. This information includes: the full name of the customer and recipient, the customer’s e-mail address, billing and delivery addresses, contact phone numbers and order details.

Your contact details may also be used to inform you of new Bestow products and services and current promotions which may be of interest to you. Bestow restricts e-mail marketing and promotional communications to a maximum of five per year (Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day and Christmas) and you may, at any time, request to be removed from this mailing list.

Storage of Information

Your personal information is stored in a password protected database. Only those directly involved in the processing of your order, or administering our mailing list, have access to this database. No credit card information is retained on file.

You have the right to view your personal information at any time and, if you wish, request that this information be amended or deleted.

The personal information you provide will not be made available to any third party unless you have authorised us to do so or unless we are required by law.

Bestow also collects anonymous, statistical information (such as your Internet Provider Address and the pages you have visited whilst on our site). This information is used in aggregate and enables us to identify broad patterns related to customer traffic and site usage so that we may better tailor the service we provide to our customers.

Secure Server and Data Encryption

All credit card information provided is transmitted via 128 bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer). This is identified by the locked key icon on the status bar of your browser. This ensures that your personal information is encrypted throughout the order process and cannot be intercepted or read by a third party whilst being transmitted over the internet.

Cookies

Cookies are identifiers placed on a recipient computer's hard drive via a visiting browser. A 'cookie' keeps track of the general information you provide such as the products in your shopping cart. Cookies make it possible to personalise your view of our site on return visits and save you time when placing subsequent orders. Bestow Gifts does not use cookies to store any of your financial or personal information. To enjoy the benefits of a Registered User, your browser must be set to accept cookies. If your web browser does not accept cookies you will need to modify your current settings for 'cookies' in the Options menu in order to view this site.
